We are coming along on the house,  We currently have 9 full courses and have started #10.  After #10 will place the girder log that supports the 2nd floor.  Still working to up load pics.  Our progress has been slowed due to the excessively wet weather.  Will keep pressing on Lord willing and hope to be putting a roof on this spring sometime.

The Family

We are a family of 6 that lives in Grainger county Tennessee just northeast of Knoxville.  We are in the process of building a log home from scratch the old fashion way as taught by the Log Home Builders association in Monroe, Wa.  We have been living in a doublewide on 5.6 acres since December 2009.  My sweet daughter Bethany has given up the most as she does not have her own bedroom and sleeps on the futon in the living room.  My goal is to have her in her new bedroom before she becomes a teenager, Lord willing.  She just turned 11 this summer, so I have a lot of work to do.  We are at the point with our basement where I can start backfilling this week and hopefully can start stacking logs in September.  Bethany has 3 brothers Andrew, Ben, and Caleb. My wife Lynn and I are incredibly blessed by God with our family and all that God has given us.  We hope to share our journey with you and honor Christ with all that we do.  I will be working on posting pictures asap.
